Effect of Propagation Method , Planting Density and Fertilizer Level on the Growth of Water Spinach (Ipomoea aquatica)

Abstract
This experiment was carried out to know the effect of vegetative propagation method, planting density, and fertilization level on the growth and yield in water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica).
The results were summerized as follows;
In cutting propagation, the most effective treatment was observed in the plot that the length of cutting was 30 §¯, the number of nodes was about 6, and the thickness of cutting was about 1 §¯. In the medium of cutting, it was remarkably rooted in Yamazaki solution and peatmoss, and well rooted in water, coarse soil, field soil, sand, and vermiculite.
In planting density, yield in the plot of 30 ¡¿ 30 §¯ was much more than the others (15 ¡¿ 15, 45 ¡¿ 45 §¯).
The fresh yield in the plot of the 30 §¸ N / l0a was more remarkably increased than that of the 10 §¸ and 20 §¸ N / 10a.
